It’s located in Florence’s lively and central neighborhood of Santo Spirito, traditional home to artists and craftsmen but also to new creative small businesses.
NORA’s community is always changing, with local and foreign residents making Florence their home and international visiting artists all sharing a great opportunity to exchange their skills and perspective.

I’ve chosen to make jewellery beacause I was curious. It’s amazing what one can be willing to wear. I use different materials and techniques, from fur to reconstructed coral, from silver to enamelled copper wire. The element that my pieces have in common is the inspiration: the awareness that people wear clothes, masks, accesories to cover and protect their bodies and, at the same time, to reveal, hide or disguise themselves. Jewellery can be instrumental in this process, so I chose it as a medium.

Nature is the origin in the world and is an absolute existence.Nature formed the earth and the lives were born. From human beings with advanced intelligence to a monadic,an artificial form does not exist in all lives, mysterious power operates, and beautiful shape comes. And, it’s full of vital energies.
I think that I can give life to jewellery that uses only an inorganic material by receiving the inspiration from an organic life. Beauty of form that Nature not Artifice creates.
Intended shape is made when the regular and the irregular unite.
It is in the making of one beautiful shape for a small point to accumulate, to connect to become a line, to become a facet and to show various aspects.

It is possible to follow the “Red Thread” as you do with a compass: to find what you wish. I work with thousands of meters of threads to wave new ideas and dreams.
I use the ancient technique of Filigree to create something for the present and I also enjoy experimenting to be surprised of the beauty that comes from a simple, tiny line: just a thread.

Jewellery is a visual medium with a personal message.
The meaning is fulfilled only when jewellery is being worn.
My passion is to find a form that combines concept, function and beauty.

I look for an expressive language observing emotions, the layers of one’s interior reality and the passing of time all of which inevitably leaves a sign or a trace.
I create wearable forms that are not always easy to recognize as jewelry that have their own truth and communicative abilities. Experimenting with different materials and techniques, I work outside my comfort zone, evolving and changing continuously…

I look to find the lowest common denominator possible when it comes to making anything; sometimes it’s the easiest way out, the fastest option, or the most readily available (like a shoe lace instead of a chain), but it’s also perfect when it’s right. When something is just enough to satisfy but not settle, that’s the secret formula. Currently I’m experimenting with these concepts through replicating/rethinking devotional Christian imagery and paraphernalia that often end up mocking the types of objects they mimic.
