Officine Nora is not a school but a modern "bottega" where you can learn more about jewelry making techniques or and even make a jewel with your own hands.

We offer demonstrations, short experiences and workshops on specific techniques, below you'll find some examples. There’s not a fixed calendar for experiences and demonstrations, we rather schedule them according to demand and benches availability.

Visit with demonstration

During the tour you will enter a unique jewelry workshop and discover the work of various independent jewelry makers. You’ll be introduced to the main machines, tools and techniques, both traditional and innovative, that are used to create unique, handmade pieces of jewelry. Then we’ll focus on one of these techniques and you’ll enjoy a live demonstration, you’ll be able to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the jewelry craftsmanship.

Souvenir Workshop

This experience will bring you in a contemporary jewelry work space where you’ll share with us the joy and the hard work of the jewelry-making artisan. After a brief introduction about the workshop and the main tools and techniques used, it will be your turn to get creative. We’ll tell you about the properties of metal, show you how to work with it, and guide you in the making of a personalized unique pendant that will be the perfect Florence souvenir!

Goldsmith for a day

During this hands-on workshop you’ll be a true jewelry maker for a day, and you’ll create a unique piece to bring home and brag about. Each participant will wear an apron, sit at a jeweler’s bench and learn the basic steps of working with metal. You’ll be guided through the different working phases: you’ll sketch, learn to cut with a jigsaw, file and and even solder. At the end of this workshop you’ll bring home not only a unique, hand-made jewel, but also an unforgettable experience.
